How to Run an ANKC Scent Work Trial

OUR EXPERIENCE IN SCENT WORK
As members of our Club were trainee Foundation Judges we were fortunate to be involved from the beginning in organising mock Scent Work trials for their training. The Club has since hosted several Scent Work trials at a variety of grounds including other sporting clubs.

Based on this experience and the framework provided by the National Scent Work Committee (2020), of which one of our trainers was a member, we have developed some resources for our Club and are happy to share these documents with other clubs or hosts, to assist with the planning and organisation of future Scent Work trials.  These documents have been written and updated based on our experience in applying the ANKC rules, but they can be readily adapted to different jurisdictions.

We have been conducting scent work classes for our members since 2019 and now have classes for Beginners, Pre-Trialling and Trialling.  If your club is considering running scent work or nosework classes, we can provide advice on the structure of a Beginner's program to get you started.  Please complete the inquiry form below.

We are also willing to visit your club and run an introductory scent work workshop for those Clubs interested in how to get started.
